The powers that want more power. It worries me that the goverment and the police want more and more power. We see the chinese doing it and condem them but our leaders want to restrict us. Shame

Yes, and even if you’re not particularly concerned about the current Government abusing the new censorship power it doesn’t follow that future governments won’t.
This isn’t something I knew was in their manifesto, and there’s been no referendum or plebiscite. It’s undemocratic, impractical, knee-jerk policy, which risks putting smaller ISPs out of business due to the huge hardware costs and was advised against by the industry and even, it seems, by the ACMA. It’s a dog’s breakfast.
