I've spent a fair bit of time looking at a sample of the Big Brother video auditions this evening, and for the most part I hate them all. But that's only because very few of them manage to build an interesting repartee with their audience through their home cameras, and they're all pretty much the most appalling spellers I've ever seen (common mistakes? The word "independent" - too many horrific bastardisations to contemplate), but I'm quietly confident that the new angle that BB is aiming for next year will pay dividends. A real shot in the arm, you might say. Please don't make a fool of me, stoners and teenage girls voting for audition tapes on the internet.
