Byron Bay's only local Brewery, Northern Rivers Brewing Co. (http://www.nrbrewing.com.au/) mentions in latest newsletter that it has been banned from the "Taste of Byron" festival due to involvement of Tooheys.
No, Byron Bay Premium Ale doesn't count as it's brewed by Australian Independent Brewers... As were all the beers from the so called "Snowy Mountains Brewery" last I checked.
Geographical names on beers should mean they're brewed (or were at some point) at the actual location. What a shame the real local brewery in Byron is barred from the local food festival!
