I actually felt physically ill when I read this - the court transcript is gut-wrenching.
Sometimes the world seems like a stunningly beautiful place, full of music and love and laughs and hi-jinx, and the next you’re reminded that it’s also populated by complete wankers who appear unable to muster up even the smallest iota of compassion and empathy for someone else.

Judges nowadays are old, insensitive, senile and useless. My boss had to go to court over some guy that owed him money. When the guy was cross-examined and constantly asked for evidence to support his claims that he had indeed payed my boss, every answer he gave was: ‘I don’t wish to answer on the grounds that it may incriminate me.’ When asked for any material evidence he replied that it had voluntarily been destroyed. So even though my boss had evidence that the money was still outstanding and this guy had nothing to back his claims the judge still ruled against my boss saying he was satisfied that this guy (though not sporting one bit of evidence) had indeed payed back the money owed. Ridiculous. A joke.

Judge Leo Hart’s conduct is utterly repulsive. I’ve been too busy blogging recently about legal fuckups in South Australia to notice this article in The Beige. Infuriated? Make your opinions known.County Court Victoria - Feedback and Complaints
