Education Is Important…
Which is why it’s wonderful there’s a new centre of learning opening up in San Francisco! Yes, a few lucky folk in the United States will be able to gain invaluable knowledge at the prestigious Whores College.
A day of classes for sex workers, called Whores College, has been held in San Francisco. It was organised as part of the San Francisco Sex Worker Film and Arts Festival. Marketing, maintaining a professional appearance and ethical standards were among the subjects covered. The seminar also included practical advice for sex workers on self defence, STDs and avoiding arrest.
All fascinating and worthy topics, to be sure.
My favourite part of the story has to be the photo of the lecturer, Carol Leigh, included in the article. I don’t just like her shirt, I require it with frantic urgency. The wig is optional though, I don’t want to be greedy.
