By the way - we forgot to mention the following even though we enjoyed a brief bout of email-passion with Anthony Fugly a few weeks ago and put plugging the awards on the top of our Things To Do list.
You MUST go and vote for the TV Fugly Awards. Right now. Lord knows they’re infinitely more enjoyable and representative of the Australian public’s feelings than the Logies could ever hope to be.
And we’d never tell you how to vote… but…
Oh, you don’t need our advice - you know what’s right.
Posted by Jess at April 20, 2005 02:13 AMI voted but when I was done it said the results will be avialable on the 16th of April, WTF?

Sorry paulyt. After the 48 hours of getting this year’s Fuglies up an running I basked in my own glory for too long thinking how good I was that i though of some new categories so much so that I didn’t update the voting confirmation page from last years info. I fixed it a couple of days in. Winners will be announced next Friday on April 29. Sorry again for the stuff up.
Sorry Jess and Patrick for using your wonderful blog as my Fuglies related communications tool tbut without email ATM it basically is.

Hey Jess. It was brief but I think you would agree very satisfying. It was for me at least. Via the exchnages you would have got the whole lazy and overwhelmed thing I’m going through currently and was going to get back to everyone last weekend on emails, promises and new Fuglies site content but laptop died on Thursday and I’m cyber cafeing it ATM. Fuglies votes are cool as they get written to a remote web server not local computer though i will be at least 5 days behind on misspelling counting. Hopefully will get life and work back together in some fashion on Thursday afternoon but really don’t know if they can recover my little G3’s hard drive. We can consider the quiz thing dead in the arse but you would have assumed that anyway. I’ll email later for as a further excuse and apology for rasing your hopes and dreams. Cheers.

Oh dear, Ratzy, you’ve hurt my feelings. For your info, I was actually aware of Shelly before Mr Blair issued his challenge - she had linked to us and signed up for our comments some weeks before. But thanks for playing, you spineless little turd.

Even if their website does link to one of the most poorly written (Shelly on the telly) and one of the most tedious and shrill (The spin starts here) blogs ever?
Just because we came up with a half arsed idea doesn’t mean “we” have good taste in the Fuglies office. Though I love those two blogs nearly as much as much as a snickers.
are u serious? tssh is boringly nasty w/o much more to offer and shelly is a rightwing name dropper who sites like tssh and others are sucking up to cos they think shes somehow famous, even tho they would have had no idea who the fuck she was before tim blair made them jump to attention. the shameless ass kissing ppl are doing at her blog is tragic.
still mate, nice job on the fuglies! looking forward to seeing this years results. saw you on the smh site too, you did well!
Now now, kids - let’s play nice. We don’t slag off blogs publicly around these parts unless they belong to Young Liberals. Or Andrew Bolt. Maybe Kyle Sandilands, if he had a blog.
Thanks Ratzy about the SMH thing. Though I don’t belive you for a second that I did well but will lap up anything resembling a compliment at the moment. Messed up words, made up phrases, repeated “featured” over and over and couldn’t think quick enough. All in just 3 minutes of edited video story. Problem is that I just can’t speak on film. Yet I criticise a whole an industry made up of people that have to do that every day. Hmmmm. Though I don’t get paid to do it and they do. Beforehand with the Fairfax Digital journos I was funny, witty and quick yet when the cameras go on I just teeter on the edge of a Craig McLachlan on Denton style breakdown over nothing. I think it’s better that I just stick to being a hypercritical tool throwing scrunched up pieces of paper at them via the internet sitting at my laptop.
