Where’s The Love? | Bloggington Love Day

A great philosopher named Taylor Hanson once asked this very question of the world in an excited high-pitched whelp whilst being accompanied by some extremely catchy pop music. And he’s right - there’s not enough. It does make the world go round and round and round. But lately - I don’t know… it just feels as though the entire bloody world (well, Blogworld, I should specify - the real world has enough scary and depressing actual issues of its own) is on a downer.

Krankiboy has lost his Blogging Mojo. I appear to no longer be able to access ausculture.com from work. The Boud is getting lonely in the States*. La Nadine is feeling sick. My beloved Fop has had the Holly Brisley Fan Club attempt to bring down his sexy spirit and momentum - fools! Clem Bastow has shut up shop, although we can only hope the holiday from Blogger is a temporary thing. The Blogosphere feels like it’s missing… something. I don’t know what. It needs a pep talk from Anthony Robbins. Or maybe a blood transfusion… from Keith Richards. It’s turned all “Mark Latham During The Innard Troubles” and dammit, I want its old fiery “Latho Circa Conga Line Of Suckholes” spirit to return!

(I wrote some awful navel gazing whiney crap here about stuff in order to vent - I feel much better, incidentally - then removed it because I don’t want to bore you all. Just pretend you read it and it moved you into loving me passionately while still feeling sort of sad. The blog version of the Delta & Brian single current ARIA Number One single.)

But we can get through this, oh yes we can.

Let’s make Wednesday Bloggington Love Day - and it’s not just for bloggers, it’s for everyone! Like Disney land! And loathing Kyle Sandilands!

Here’s some stuff you can do to make some other internerds day.

*Incidentally, let’s all yay Boud for his Bloggie nomination - and well done to the winning blog What’s New, Pussycat!

PS: I have disallowed comments on this post because contrary to what the haters will no doubt assume, this call for Bloggington Love Day isn’t about getting the ausculture.com ego massaged. Don’t say a thing to us. Just go out into the Blogosphere and spread the hearting fever or I will cry and\or write an angsty song that sounds like something from Creed’s back catalogue.

PPS: Yes, I am aware I am completely and utterly lame, like a Hallmark card on steroids, but I am beyond caring at this point. Go be nice!
