1 - Go and see Hating Alison Ashley at the movies. God, it’s going to be awful, I just know it - but in the name of all things ausculture.com, we’re going to take one for the team and pay actual money to watch Delta’s frighteningly stiff performance. Expect a review in the next few weeks.
2 - I can’t believe I’m going to say this but… we’ll buy Nikki Webster’s FHM “spread” and scan it. Shudder. Maybe we’ll get Patrick to do that one. Incidentally, yesterday was young Patrick’s birthday - hip hip hooray to you, oh website HTML dork stuff maestro!
3 - Head to Melbourne late next month, sneak onto the Neighbours set and put Dr Karl in a headlock until he agrees to get back with Susan. Or maybe just stalk Toady. Possibly photograph Stingray eating lunch. Or I could just run onto the set and tickle Harold Bishop’s chin. Oh god, so many choices, so little chance of it happening! Where the hell is the Neighbours set anyway? Do you think if I began singing “One Good Reason” while standing next to the makeshift coffee shop set, they’d just think I was some funky waxwork jukebox and not notice me, thus allowing me to take photos of stuff when everyone’s back is turned?
Oh, And About Those Notification Emails
You might remember a fwe days ago we offered people the chance to sign up to receive email notifications whenever ausculture.com is updated.
Cheers to all those people who emailed and asked to get signed up (foos!) - this is a moment of joy, and I want to kiss everybody, Roberto Benigni style. However, you wonderful peeps might have noticed a distinct lack of emails even though we’ve been updating ausculture.com - the bloody notification thing doesn’t work!
Stay patient and I’m sure we’ll get it sorted sooner or later. And if you still want to join up, follow the instructions in the link above. As a few people can prove (Sugar, I’m looking at you) I do indeed flirt shamelessly in email as promised.

Can I come along to HAA too? Clearly it will be Movie Of The Year.

Re: HAA, a friend of mine was forced to see it - apparently Goodrem’s absolutely invisible and the real stars are Jean Kittson and Craig McLachlan. Yay! adores Jean

The Neighbours street is in Nunawading, and I was lucky (?) enough to drive down it this afternoon, and then…well, then I quickly drove back out of it. It’s not a very big street.
No sign of any Neighbours luminaries, but the faint sound of jowl-wobbling emanating from behind some bushes seemed to indicate that Harold might have been on the prowl, seeking fresh victims for a lecture on vegetarianism and the like.
Pin Oak Crescent. We tried to go down there one night, and the security guard wouldn’t let us past. Too many hooligans apparently! If you are looking on a road map, it is actually listed as part of Vermont.
