Oh. My. God.
Bolt is BACK baby and with a vengeance!
I can’t tell you how hot his latest column has gotten me. No, really - I can’t… I’m too overwhelmed by it. Once I saw the words ‘sneering elite’ in the opening sentence, I just knew it was going to blow my mind, and it did. I don’t ever want to suffer through another month away from him - please Andrew, promise me you’ll never leave again?
Highlights for me include -
- This is what we who backed the liberation of Iraq dreamed of, but what our “peace” movement tried so shamefully to stop.
- And none of this would have happened if we’d listened to our “peace” movement, or to Labor, or to the petition signers, or to the United Nations
- teacher-preachers!
- a hostile Western media!
- the beacon of freedom the despotic Middle East so desperately needs!
- our usual apologists for tyrants and terrorists!
- The Australian Financial Review, ran two more pieces on Monday by staff Leftists sneering at the election!
- fat-bottomed commentators in the West! (MY FAVOURITE!)
- How morally sick is our cultural elite!
- How sick is this elite? (YES, SAY IT AGAIN, BROTHER BOLT!)
- the Melbourne Writers Festival two years ago invited Trotskyist writer Tariq Ali to give the keynote speech! (TROTSKYIST? HAVE YOU BEEN HANGING WITH DR JIM?!)
- this moral pygmy!
- our cultural elite is infected with a deadly disdain of freedom!
- toxic preaching!
Christ, I need a cigarette after that. Ace work, Bolty - you’re back and better than ever!

The phrase of course is courtesy of a previous column by Andrew Bolt lamenting the politicisation of education. In a week when education has had a few headlines - with Dr Nelson's proposal for a National Leaving Certificate exam being...

Dammit, I was going to get stuck into this one, and would have, too, if I wasn’t on warning for doing that sort of stuff at work…
Gotta love the fairness and honesty of the following argument:
A person has been injured as a result of the thing I’m endorsing, event A. Therefore, if you’re critical of event A, then you’re also critical of the person who’s been injured WHO’S NOW A CRIPPLE which makes you, the critique of event A, A HORRIBLE CRIPPLE-ABUSER.
Oh, Bolty, whatever did we do without you?

Sorry babes :)
It was too tempting, I’ve been checking for weeks to see whether he’d come back. I love how he has a go at The Age too, I wonder if that’s for the benefit of the people spreading the Bolt-moving-to-The-Age! rumour for the last two weeks!
