I Know It’s Over…

Still I cling… I don’t know where else I can go!

On the One Week Anniversary of the beginning of Pandagate, it’s time for ausculture.com to move on. Gasp - that’s right - no more half arsed posts about the Left vs Right blogging war!

Everything that needs to be said about Miranda & Co has already been said here, and said better on much finer websites than this one. There’s really not much ausculture.com could add to the topic. Also, I don’t particularly want to give the Two Cents crew (and the spin off blogs) any more free advertising. While I love and admire the camaraderie between left leaning bloggers that emerged post-election and has been strengthened by Pandagate, I can’t help but feel that perhaps we’re giving these fools too much attention!

After all, the Two Cents crew didn’t appear to have any readers before Pandagate (at least, any readers that weren’t in their immediate circle of Melbourne Uni Young Libs) and now thanks to the constant linking of well-intentioned Commie bloggers, they’ve got an audience of hundreds - if not thousands - hanging on their every ignorant word. Personally, I’m spending far more time than I should perusing the Two Cents site (and a few of it’s more disturbing right-wing spin offs) and frankly, they don’t deserve the attention - from me, or any one else. They don’t write particularly well, their opinions - while sometimes good for a laugh - are generally offensive to my own personal sense of “morality”, and in all honesty, I don’t want to contribute to their hit counter anymore.

At the moment, they’re just taking the piss out of us lefty bloggers - making deliberately provoking statements in an attempt to wring out some more attention and comments. They know we’ll bite when they write about how homosexuality is wrong, fox hunting is grand, and other such faff and nonsense. In their latest post, they don’t even try to come up with something resembling an actual opinion. They’ve popped up some pictures of Jenna and Barbara Bush (and a young pic of Dubya) and commented on the family likeness. Why? Cos they know they can post it and it’ll still irk the Lefties into leaving 40+ comments on the article.

You’ll note I’m not linking to any of these posts. Why? I just don’t want to send them the extra traffic. That’s right, the three of you that read ausculture.com aren’t getting any help from me when it comes to increasing Two Cents’ hits! Bless.

In any case, nothing we say or do to the Young Liberals involved in Pandagate could possibly be as damaging to them as what they’re doing to themselves. Quite a few Melbourne lawyers have emailed me saying that their companies are watching the goings on, and while they’re having a great laugh at the whole thing, I’m assured “there’s no way in hell those two (Alexander Lew and Miranda Airey-Branson) are ever going to get hired by any half-decent law firm.”

Finally, I should add (in an effort to conclude this entire affair appropriately) that Robert Corr published the truth behind the Diana Elgar Affair (a less catchy alternate name for Pandagate, I suppose) yesterday afternoon. Afterwards, Andrew Bolt (“respected” national columnist) emailed Rob’s boss accusing Mr Corr of writing fake emails to Miranda & Co and Andrew himself. Good to see Bolt’s investigative skills are on par with his posse of Young Libs.

While I’m sure it counts for nothing, I can 100% confirm that Rob Corr certainly didn’t write the emails. I was sent the document filled with all the email correspondence on Monday, and my anonymous chum mentioned they would be sending it to Rob Corr because he is considered the “Keeper Of The Flame” - the ‘flame’ meaning ‘documentation of Pandagate’. For Andrew Bolt to email Rob’s Labor MP boss and state Rob indulged in naughty activity when he had no proof of it, well - it sums up what a twat Andrew Bolt is. As if we didn’t know already.

So keep watching Rob Corr - not to mention some of the other excellent bloggers keeping tabs on the affair - if you are remotely interested in Pandagate. Otherwise, wee your pants with joy cos ausculture.com will be returning to old fashioned scurrilous gossip, News Wraps, Neighbours chit chat, Idol talk and Disturbing Google Search Phrase Reports after this weekend!

It’s so easy to laugh
It’s so easy to hate
It takes strength to be gentle and kind

Pandagate
For those with fond memory of the good old days of university student politics (and for that matter, for any younger readers who are still looking forward to these delights) the blogosphere brings you Pandagate, a ripping yarn which combines...

pervert a panda now
The whole bizzo about Miranda and Alex and naughtiness with Ms Fit's identity has gone round one more turn of the screw. According to Ausculture, the relevant parties have now attracted so much attention they are known to the good...

Ha!

As in, after you forward it 50 times, Microsoft, AOL and Andrew Bolt are gonna send you and everyone in your “TO” list $35000? I read about this scam on Snopes!

And yup - I’m not linking to those two cents twats, and have had enough of visiting. Even the provocation’s boring now.

Tracing the e-mails, indeed!

snort.

As much as I’d like to believe Andrew Bolt Himself would have the nous to realise when he’s been completely schooled in the art of bullshit, I don’t think he’s that bright.

Anyway, just popped by to say thx for the link. Bless ya!

“Hey now, hey now, don’t dream it’s over”

Kudos on being the first to claim the coveted “I’m soooo over it” prize.

I hate troll-blogging for money and generally stay well away from the Two Cent type of sites, especially as they can be addictive. In fact, I haven’t looked at Two Cents for well over two hours now…um, I’d hate to give them traffic but, um…hang on, I’ll be right back….Ahhhhhh! That feels better.

Can you get ignorant-tabloid-blitherings in a patch?

I am completely mind-boggled that they fell for those emails. They’re like girl cops on tv who go into abandoned warhouses alone at night without flashlights when everything is screaming THIS IS A TRAP. Unbelievable.

Why do they have to be girl cops? Unless you’re refering to girls like Paris Hilton.

Well, watch the shows - it’s a tried and true storyline for female cops/detectives/fbi agents etc. Every tv drama loves a good damsel in distress scenario. You want examples?!

Ahh. My thoughts exactly (about not wanting to give traffic, and how they’re just flamebaiting now).

By the way, did you get my email this morning? I tried to send it (twice) but Gmail kept blowing up on me.
