My shit times 50 000

For the one person who cares (myself included) I’m writing a novel… Well, perhaps a novella but let’s not get picky.

More specifically - I’m going to sign up for NaNoWriMo and write 50 000 words in November of this year.

I’ll be providing a link sometime before the 1st of November to a live version of the novel as it progresses. You’ve been warned.

Everyone really should read it. If you don’t read it you won’t be able to say “the book is better” when it becomes a major motion picture. You wouldn’t want to miss out on that would you? Would you?

[Edit: Comments are off for this entry. Remember you can always email me]

For no particular reason I’ve decided to present my reasoning for writing it in the form of an ontological argument. here goes:

  1. By definition, My Novel is a novel than which none greater can be imagined.

  2. A novel that necessarily exists in reality is greater than a novel that does not necessarily exist.

  3. Thus, by definition, if my novel exists as an idea in the mind but does not necessarily exist in reality, then we can imagine a novel that is greater than My Novel.

  4. But we cannot imagine something that is greater than My Novel.

  5. Thus, if my novel exists in the mind as an idea, then my novel necessarily exists in reality.

  6. My Novel exists in the mind as an idea.

  7. Therefore, My Novel necessarily exists in reality.

As you can see this novel has to be written.
