Kirstie Alley - Fat Actress
Personally, I’m excited about an upcoming television show starring Kirstie Alley - and no, I never thought I’d utter those words in my lifetime either.
Kirstie - sick of the tabloids having fits over her weight gain (seriously, who stakes out a burger joint just waiting to snap the perfect photo of Kirstie swinging by drive-thru? Surely you’d be better off taking photos of Britney smoking…) - has decided to portray a character she feels is similar to herself (” a plus-size actress looking for love and for work.”)
The new series, titled “Fat Actress” (I love that name for some reason!), will air in the States at some point next year, which means it’s gonna be a while before it hits Australian shores (if at all). It could be really quite brilliant and hilarious, or it could be woeful - I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the former.
Meanwhile, check out an interview with Jess Cagle (from People magazine) and Joan Chen (from CBS’s The Early Show) who recently interviewed Kirstie. It seems you get cakes and pies at Kirstie Alley’s house. Hurrah!
