Mid-last year, when Big Brother buzz had reached fever pitch, some may remember that ausculture.com started a campaign to get the media using the term “Graxon” (a la Bennifer) when talking about Gretel Killeen and Saxon Small’s new romance.
In shockingly quick time, we reached our goal. Sydney Confidential dropped the phrase in a few times and while we were thrilled, we couldn’t help but wonder why the lovely and friendly (on email, at least) gang over at the Telly’s ‘most fave’ gossip column made no acknowledgement of ausculture.com when using it and sort of made out like they were behind it. Then we remembered that we were nobodies and no one cared about us at all, and it seemed to make sense.
Our last correspondence with The Con led to a promise - A PROMISE - to give us a plug next time they used it. Then they stopped using it altogether. Bastards. Let’s look at the evidence again, shall we?
And let’s look at today’s reference for Graxon in Sydney Confidential by clicking here. Sniffle. Fiona Apple once sang “Never is a promise, and you can’t afford to lie…” and in some nonsensical way, it sums up our feelings towards The Con. Way to break out hearts, guys.

In this day and age, you’ve gotta wonder about the selfishness and thoughtlessness that prevails in society. I bet they vote Liberal too.

Proposed Graxon Litigation
How about we issue proceedings for a breach of copyright or something?
The only problem is that, if today’s story in Sydney Confidential is right, the term “Graxon” might well fall in to disuse by the end of the week. I guess the intellectual property rights might not be worth that much then.
Minty - Graxon died about four months ago AT THE LATEST. But then, after hugely long periods of silence, The Con find an excuse to use it again! I don’t think Gretski and The Sax have been rumpy pumping since the later part of last year. Litigation must proceed!
