Could We Have Inside Information?

Of course not. We are but mere plebians in the hierarchy of Internet gossip sites. Nonetheless, allow us to present you with two totally unrelated stories.

Gavin McDonough, brother of Neighbours star Blair, has been dumped as Rob “Millsy” Mills’ agent and is planning on suing the former Idol star for breach of contract.

In other news, the brother of someone who may possibly portray a law enforcer on Australian television has been dumped as an agent by not just one reality TV show star, but several - although not all are being sued by the disgruntled rep. The ex-manager was rumoured to have been ditched after clients discovered his method of representation merely involved faxing star’s resumes to various places and waiting for the work to roll in.

Unsurprisingly, this “sit back and wait” approach to promoting his roster was a schmozzle. The ex-manager also may have been taking a little too much cash from the new and naive stars, who apparently hit the roof once they discovered their manager was not legally entitled to the large slice of commission he’d convinced them he deserved.

My question is - why sign up with him in the first place? Fingers crossed the latest batch of reality show stars in Australia flick his business card straight into the bin should they ever be accosted by him.

Hang on, I need to take notes here...

Doing nothing but sending faxes = bad promotional technique.

I have to say, can we really blame Millsy's lack of success on a bad agent? I suspect there may be greater forces at play.

Millsy? Who mentioned this crap agent had anything to do with Millsy? I certainly didn't!

I think you're giving people too much credit for knowing who the character of Stu is. If I wasn't me, I would have thought you were talking about Tom Croyden or someone.

Maybe I AM talking about Tom Croyden's brother? Or Peter O'Brien's brother? Who knows, since I have cleverly disguised the identity of the ex-manager so well...

On another note, is Love Pavilion gone forever? I'm a bit sad about that!

I think the operative word of that sentence was 'bit'. I wish we had shut down before it got so shit that absolutely no one cared either way.

But yeah, it's gone. I'll be doing something else though.

Back on topic, I do get far too excited at any mention of Stu...it's quite weird the level to which we built him up. He's like the worst freaking character ever, really. And yet, to us he's the planet's biggest star.

Bugger, after I posted I KNEW you'd latch onto the 'bit' comment! No, no - I'm VERY sad! I loved The Love Pavilion - it's sense of humour was always slightly off-balance but that's okay, it's what made you special!

However, I also know that no amount of convincing would change your respective minds on closing it down if you have reaaaaally made it up and begging is quite pathetic, hence I didn't beg in the post above.

But I also know that phoenix-like, something beautiful could come out of the ashes of Love Pavilion - something even MORE special! If that's possible!

You know, I was so sad that it ended, I even looked at a Google cache of the old site. Sniffle.

(if the above is a hotch-potch of random thoughts, I apologise - I'm still feeling a bit funny after witnessing part of the Shannon Noll back-slapping fest on Channel Ten)
